Natchez Burlesque

Natchez Burlesque is dedicated to finding the hidden nooks and crannies of the Delta and other places in the South, casting sunlight on the faces of its citizenry and celebrating their lives and work. It rejects outright the widely unchallenged and ignorant assumption that the South is a backwards and unenlightened place, and endeavors to reveal the South to those both within and outside of its borders in all of its surreal and complicated sublimity. In the South there is a mystery and a glory that winds its way through all facets of life and cannot be separated from the land, or from the home, or from its people. It is a land of darkness and light, and it is a place where the beauties of truth, virtue, humanity and the divine live side-by-side.
